Happy Birthday Savannah

Savannah is ONE. Yes, I am having a hard time with this and yes, I know that kids have to grow up. But can't she stay little forever? We had cake and mommy made her a little cake just for her. We sang happy birthday and her sisters wouldn't let her play with the toy she received for her birthday. They liked it too much

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was spent with sick children. Now that everyone is better mommy has it and of course there is NO time for this. As several of my friends blogs remind me there is only 23 days til Christmas. And in that time I need to finish shopping, celebrate Sabrina's B-day (Dec 17th), sew a bunch of presents, and mail things. I love this time of year with all the secrecy and love to say: "If you don't ask questions I don't have to lie to you".

Potty Training

We have been working on potty training for what seems like forever. But for some reason she feels that her panties should be worn on her head instead of her bottom. NOT COOL. We have tried stickers, candy, chocolate, and any other form of bribery you can think of. Today we were giving her a penny everytime she went in the potty and it worked for a while. Now when I ask her to go potty she says I already did in the kitchen. This results in her getting to clean up the mess which doesn't seem to faze her either. What am I going to do with this little girl. Cause really at this point I think I want to beat her.

Halloween........finally

I know I'm almost two weeks late. Presenting the Bosted girls in their Halloween costumes. Little Miss Vannah is a Lady Bug. Miss Sophie is a Chicago Bears Cheerleader. Miss Brina is a Fairy princess. And Sariah decided she wanted to be Caribou Barbie a.k.a. Sarah Palin.

A few weeks ago I put my name in to win these amazing "Widdo Wegs" from this amazingly talented friend in Arizona. I WON!!! I am so excited and am waiting with baited breath to get them in the mail. When they arrive I promise very cute pics of Savannah's fat thighs in them.

Favorite show

The girls and I have a favorite show that we watch religiously. It is what we DO. They are allowed to stay up a little past their bedtime for this show. Last night because of choices that were made they were not able to watch this favorite show and were pretty upset by this. But, mommy watched and really enjoyed the dances. My first favorite was Warren Sapp and his partner Kym Johnson.

My next favorite was Cody Linley and Julianne Hough.

I look forward to seeing who will be eliminated tonight. I hope it's a certain person who shall remain nameless for fear of people being mad at me for picking on slightly more seasoned people.

For a good cause

Dan and I are very big supporters of Breast Cancer Awareness. This being October, don't for get to click here everyday. I think I am going to buy Dan a new t-shirt. All for a good cause. He would probably prefer this instead. Of course any t-shirt that talks about this is good. Happy Breast Cancer Month.

Football Widows Anonymous

Is anyone else like me? Does your life revolve around football? Does your weekend schedule get constantly rearranged from August to February? Does your husband rush home from work on Monday's, and not speak to you until the first commercial of Monday Night Football? Can your daughters sing the fight song for the Chicago Bears, NFL team of your choice or college of your choice? Were three of your children born way to close to the college bowl season or the Super Bowl?

Hi, My name is Naomi and I am a Football Widow.

Don't get me wrong I like football. I wear my Chicago Bears apparel proudly (DA Bears). I watch way to much college football, and am married to a man who knows the college that almost every NFL player went to. I can converse with men about useless football knowledge, and teenage boys are amazed at what I know. Thank you Dan.

So Football Widows out there give me a shout out and tell me how you survive the Football season.

I miss the SUN

The other morning Savannah woke up at 5:30. I started her bottle and was feeding her and thought, hey I wonder what the temp is outside. I shouldn't of checked. It was 33 degrees but, get this, felt like 27 degrees.

Last Saturday it rained all day and didn't get above 60 degrees. I miss my flip flops and shorts.

Since moving to this WAY too cold place we have had our down comforter on our bed every night. In fact instead of an A/C kicking on at night our heater kicks on.

To all my AZ friends take a dip in the pool and enjoy your flip flops for me.

p.s. to answer a question. We aren't anywhere near Forks, WA. We are more in the middle of the state. And we are surrounded by sagebrush and apple orchards, maybe a few cherrie and peach orchards and quite a few potato fields and some wheat and corn fields too.

Let us never forget.....

I recently happened upon Meghan McCains Blog. She had this amazing video. We must never forget to thank a veteran or a member of the armed forces for the sacrifices that they make on our behalf. "Freedom isn't free". I am thankful everyday that my family and I live in this amazing country. I am also thankful for those men and women who are out there making our country the safest nation in the world.

Economics

Dan came across an interesting article in his review of all things Bears and Politics, it was an Investors Business Daily editorial on Barak Obama and his economic beliefs. Stunning to say the least and amazing what little we do know about this man who wants to be president. There are many things to like and not like about him personally but his beliefs needs to be scrutinized and the deeper you get the scariar things become.

Those who love this country cannot allow the ignorant and idiot vote to win this election. Most states allow registration up to the end of this month, so get registered and vote!

Moved........

We are in the house.....sort of unpacked.....I still feel like I am living out of a suitcase. Of course I think my father-in-law said it best. It's like putting 5lbs of crap into a 2lb bag. When did all of our things have babies and when did their babies have babies?????? I swear our stuff has multiplied and I KNOW I got rid of a ton of stuff before we left AZ. I have decided that I will move one more time and then after that Dan is on his own (I say that but we all know like a good wife I will follow my husband even if it is kicking and screaming).

What I have decided about moving is that no matter how much stuff you get rid of when you move, you are still taking stuff to the goodwill when you get to where you move. Maybe that's why I think our stuff has had babies. Hopefully by next week we will have a somewhat normal existance. School starts (I am jumping up and down and shouting hurray!!!!!) on Tues Sept 2 and our Miss Sariah will be a 3rd grader and Miss Sabrina will be in Kindergarten. It will be party time for mommy.

Well now that I have told you all our woe of unpacking and children who get into things faster then I unpack (love them). I must go and make sure that no one has died.

Monkey Girls

The other day (more like middle of the night) Sophie woke up at 2:30am and was up until 8:30am in the morning. Sometime in there Savannah woke up to eat. Never the less mommy was very tired and has decided that somehow the two of them are out to get me. The same day that I didn't get any sleep the girls were outside jumping on the trampoline in the rain.

Swimming

The girls have been enjoying the pool at Bama and Bampa's house. Savannah LOVES the pool and loves getting in and hanging out in her floaty. Sophie LOVES to be in the pool in her lifejacket swimsuit (which makes her to brave).

Visiting the Smith's

We have been making trips to Yakima to visit daddy during the week. We have been staying at the Smith's house when we do this. This time Sophie and Didi bugs were wearing the same shirt so we had to get a picture of them together.

Party at Grandparents

Grandma Leigh invited the girls over for a tub party in her BIG bathtub. The girls had a lot of fun playing in the tub. After they were done destroying her bathroom she fed them the cutest little sandwiches and curly q carrots and chips. The girls enjoyed hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Aunt Cari's B-day Weekend

The weekend of July 26 was Aunt Cari's B-day. We had a party for her and Uncle Buddy surprised her by flying in from AZ. We had a lot of fun with all of the brothers and sisters and cousins.

Fixing a stat

I was in error on the length that a water balloon was shot. The real amount was 284 feet not 268 feet.

Water Balloon Launcher

For the 4th of July Dan made a water balloon launcher. Subsequently EVERY Sunday Dan, his brother and brother-in-law have been testing to see how far they can launch a water balloon. To date the record is 268 feet. Tonight we went over to his sisters house and the boys were up to mischief again......but, this time the daughters were involved (five of them). Even Grandma Leigh and Aunt Cari had a turn. No measuring was done tonight to see how far but, the girls sure had fun seeing if they could hit Aunt Connie (hehehehe). Here are a couple of pics of the event.

The girls have been having fun at Bama and Bampa May's house, last Saturday Bama put sponge rollers in the girls hair, they looked really cute on Sunday when we went to church.

To update everyone we have found a house in North Yakima and will be moving in, on or around August 23 because.....August 16 the Chicago Bears play a preseason game in Seattle and Dan wants to go. Which is more important then moving (I guess).

Sorry

My mom informed me the other day I had not changed my blog in a few days..... Ok a month. We are doing really good. We are still at Bama and Bapa's house (what sophie calls them) and looking for a house to live in. The girls are enjoying their summer so far. Dan is enjoying his new job. And mommy is trying to stay sane living out of a suitcase.

New Job

Dan has a new job. You can't see me but I am doing a happy dance. Dan will be working for a company in Selah, WA. We will be living there or somewhere around there. We are very excited for this new adventure and are looking forward to finding a house and getting settled.

In Washington

We are in Washington, and enjoying our time here. We are hanging out with the cousins and the aunts and uncles needless to say we are living in a zoo at the moment. We had a very long drive from Arizona and were very glad to be in one place. The girls and mommy and daddy are having a hard time because it has been 68-76 degrees and raining. We are just a tad on the cold side.

On Saturday June 7, Sariah was baptized. We had a very memorable day with her being baptized and her aunt Jackie graduating from High School. She felt very special sharing the day with her aunt.

Today (Sunday) we went to visit Dan's mom's grave. We had a very tender moment with Sariah remembering how much she loved her grandma and talking about the fun times we had with grandma Bosted.

We want to thank all those who helped us with cleaning the house and watching the children before we left AZ. We are missing our friends an Naomi is missing her Young Women.

Eventually we will change the name of our blog, but for now we still feel like AZ people, because we are cold all the time.

We have left Queen Creek

The house is empty the truck is packed and we are out of Queen Creek. We will be leaving tomorrow morning (Sunday) to head North to Salt Lake. We are praying for a safe trip. Will post more when we are finally where we need to be.

why?!?!?!?!

Why is it that I can't take a shower without some ONE (Sophia, Sabrina) torturing the baby (sweet miss Savannah) or dumping fish crackers on the living room floor, or pretzels, or dumping half a can of $30 formula all over the kitchen floor. Savannah was asleep so yesterday (tuesday) I decided to take a shower and when I came out there were fishys all over the living room floor and formula all over the kitchen floor. Mommy was so happy with her princesses (dripping with sarcasm). Now as I was trying to take care of Miss Vannah, miss Sophie once again dumped fishys on the the floor. Must remember to lock pantry door and to put fish crackers up very high.

Packing and Sophie the Daredevil

We are in the midst of packing and I feel as if I am surrounded by chaos. Yesterday (monday) we took the girls to the park to get some energy out of them because they were driving mommy and daddy crazy. We were going to take the camera, but forgot it at home. Sophie has become quite the daredevil, she thinks it's funny to scare mommy (of course daddy encourages this). She is climbing every ladder that is 10 times her size and doing it without help and laughing when mommy tells her to be careful. This is an older video of her but it will give you an idea of how she is.

Other then crazy children we are just packing and trying to stay sane.

Last day of school

Today was Sariah's last day of school. You wouldn't have known it by the weather, 65 degrees and pouring rain. Of course on Tues it was 110, who ever thought of global warming was a nut job. Just ask Katie and Bill who had snow two weeks ago. Here are some pics of Sariah and her friends, and her teachers.

This is Dan's new favorite song

I heard this song on the radio the other day and I thought of my handsome honey.

Mommy is a slacker

So apparently mommy has forgotten that she needs to post every once in a while so that people know what we are up to.

Well........the flu has been going through our house, and even though I told the doctor we didn't have time for this it has hit us with a vengeance. First with Sabrina then mommy then Sabrina again, then Sophie for FOUR days. Now daddy has it. I am praying on a daily basis that Miss Vannah doesn't get it or Miss Sariah. In the midst of all this sickness we are trying to pack and clean all the blinds and wash walls and everything else that comes with moving.

Yes, you read that right.....we are moving back to the Northwest (Boise). At the end of this month which is causing mommy to pull her hair out and the girls to wonder what is wrong with their parents. Now here are some pictures of the girls to make everyone happy.

Sariah Pics

Dan bought a external hard drive and then borrowed a disc drive to download all of our old pics to our laptop. We found some really cute old pics of the girls. First up is Sariah...and yes her head was really that big when she was a baby.

Ward Rodeo

Yesterday was our Ward's annual Rodeo. The morning started out very cold (we know we live in AZ but after a while 50 is very cold!), but by lunch time the sun was shining. The girls had lots of fun riding the horse, doing sac races, and riding in the cow train. Savannah stayed nice and warm in her front pack carrier. Yes it is weird to have the rodeo in March but, once again we live in AZ and any other time after April would be to hot.

This next week is Spring Break......I think that the girls are more excited then Mommy. We will just have to make lots of trips to the park and hope the sun shines all week.

Miss Sophie

This is Sophie and daddy having a conversation. She is a funny little girl.

Super Bowl Weekend

On Friday before the Super Bowl we went to the NFL experience, the kids (including Dan and Daren) had lots of fun.

beautiful girls

Yesterday I was chastised for not having any new pics on our blog of Miss Savannah (or Vannah Montana as her sisters call her). We have been super crazy at our house, I never realized how many times I say: stop doing that, stop hitting your sister, please be nice, and did you have to make her cry???? Usually a hundred times a day. Yesterday after a stressful morning of fighting with girls to get their hair done I decided to take them and get their summer cuts done early. Lets just say that Dan has decided that the girls are never allowed to date or grow up.

Sunday, January 27, 2008

The weekend of Jan 19 was spent in driving to Utah and back. While there, we blessed Savannah and froze our booties off. We had fun seeing the grandmas and papas. We also met Miss Rylin for the first time and think she is the cutest.

It was also decided while there, by Sariah, that we would never visit Utah again in the winter. She thought it was to cold.

Little Savannah looked beautiful in her blessing dress (thanks gma May). The girls enjoyed playing with their cousins Rylin and Hattie, and mommy and daddy enjoyed the fabulous air mattress that Chris and Susie let us sleep on. All in all a good trip.

2008 Fiesta Bowl

So through connections at work and many people from the state of West Virginia not wanting to pay to come out here Daren and I got tickets to the Fiesta Bowl at a deep discount, ie free. The game was so much fun, not as much fun as last years Boise-Okl game but fun nonetheless. I thought Oklahoma would win because of the way they looked at the Big 12 championship game, and how bad WV looked against Pitt.

The game as most of you know was a 48-28 victory for WV but was much more competitive than the score indicates. WV had a ridiculous amount of speed that the Sooners were unable to compete. We kept saying "alright 'neers you need a long, time consuming drive" and then they would run for a 50 yard touchdown.

The endzone seats are great as you can see the holes develop and where the play is being run. It was fun. I have some pictures as well as a couple if videos, one video is of a first-half interception in the end-zone by WV and the other is a TD pass by WV.

The only unfortunate thing was we sat right next to the WV band and that was well loud and you all know about band-geeks. These band-geeks even came equipped with their "i'm in college so I can be a weirdo" as the baton twirler and two of the flag wavers were guys. That was a little weird but hey free tickets are free tickets, and besides there was quite a bit of other...umm...things to look at.

Here are the pictures and I will post the videos to youtube. 1 & 2

New Years Day

This is how the Bosted's of AZ ring in the New Year. As you can see we are a house of party animals. Well at least one of us is.
