Spring Break

Spending the week at Aunt Cari and Uncle Steve's. Girls are going to be playing with cousins.....hopefully there will be no deaths ;). Will post pictures of the girls playing with cousins when I can.

I am thankful for Prophets

Dan shared this audio with me tonight. I don't like to post political things, that's Dan's job. But, this touched me because it was said by a Prophet of the Lord. I am thankful for a Prophet and I am thankful for the gospel in my life.

I am thankful to live in a free country but, I also think that we need to continue to fight to make sure we stay a free country. Not only for our children but, for our grandchildren. My grandparents fought in wars in other countries so that we could have the freedoms that we enjoy. Thank you Grandpa Lantz, Grandma Hunsaker, Grandpa May. Thank you to my Uncles who fought for our country. Thank you to my Brother-in-law for his willingness to serve our country. On Dan's side I say thank you to his Dad, his Uncles and his Grandpa Clinkscales for serving our country.

Sharing time ideas

Being in the Primary presidency means that once a month I get to do sharing time. I want to do something this week that will get the kids ready for General Conference. With Senior Primary this is not a big deal but, what do I do for Junior Primary? I have been looking here and, there are some really good ideas just not sure how to make it translate to kids that can barely sit still for 5 minutes. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sweet Children

Last night we went to our friends the Smith's for Sunday dinner. While there Sabrina decided that she needed to jump (yes, jump) down 5 stairs. She got a bloody lip for a souvenier. After the blood was cleaned up she started complaining that it hurt to step on her foot. Which she prodeeded to milk the rest of the night. This morning she woke up and still wouldn't walk on it. And when mommy touched it she yelled and cried. I then made an appt for the doctor. She had an X-Ray. And the results came back saying she only had a sprain. HURRAY!!!!! Now if I could just get her to walk on it..........

Disclaimer

I have been asked several times if Dan watches Dancing with the Stars with us. The answer is NO, not only NO but heck NO. So to clarify Dan runs into the other room as soon as the t.v comes on to this show. And he likes to make fun of us and tell us we are silly girls. When you live in a house of girls this is what you get.

It's Back!!

Dancing with the Stars is back. Who's your new favorite? I can't decide between cute little Shawn Johnson (love her!), Stylish Melissa Rycroft (love her smile), or Super cute couple Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks. I was, however, NOT impressed with the judges the last two times they were scoring. I felt that they were too excited about some celebs and not so about others (i.e. Steve-O, Belinda Carlisle, David Alan Grier, etc.)

My favorite dance of this week was by Chelsie Hightower and Dmitri Chaplin. I also loved LOVED Jewel's version of "over the Rainbow"

My daughters

Some day when my daughters are grown, I hope that Dan and I have taught them to stand up for what they believe in a way that is very articulate. I also hope that we have taught them that God knows who they are and that he loves them unconditionally. I recently saw this video on a blog that I frequent.
